i cut the mango …
i cut the mango exactly like you do, but instead of taking out the skin, i jut put a spoon to it, just start carving the inside with a spoon and eat it….its great because the skin also acts like a bowl!!!!

I’m from jamaica… how I eat my mango is pierce a hole at the tip of the end, peel it with my teeth, and I eat that open part first. Then I’ll peel a next section and eat that part. Eat all the meat, and then suck the juice and the rest off the seed.

If the mango is fresh and green or half ripe, the skin can be consumed along with the fruit 
I love eating the green or half ripe ones with salt, pepper, garlic and herbs….so good!

This is how I cut a mango based on experiences in Central America and Sri Lanka. Cutting the two long sections on either side of the seed and scoring. You can eat from the scored skin, or cut or peel out the sections, or, like you would do with a sectioned grapefruit, use a spoon to scoop out the scored flesh, one bite at a time.
