Sure that’s a great topic to cover, however I must say that you want that to an extent.
That fast heart beating is a natural response to threat and increases your reaction times by a great deal.
But the problem is most people do not know how to use this physical response to their advantage and they let it cloud their judgment… which is what I think you were getting at.

haha… ah ok. Well yes playing computer games does have an effect on your body.
If its been a few weeks, not to worry your muscles just compressed and shrunk a little bit… start working out again and in a week or two they will be back to normal.
But because of your eating habits, you MAY have lost some muscle mass. I can’t tell from here, but its a possibility.

Hi! I have a question regarding “muscles that burn calories”.
I can now think of 3 guys I know who’re sporty, have great muscles cause they lift weights at the gym, but… they have bellies. Of different size, but they still have ‘em :).
Like there’re 1 guy out of these 3, who has really big bisceps, he’s been working out pretty regularly, but he also has a big tummy (he told me that he gained some weight recently).
How can that happen? Thanks for your answer!

Hah, yeah that reminded me of a few people I know too. Don’t be surprised, this can happen rather easily.
1. Could be they need a detox. What do they eat? It’s not only fat that makes the belly look bigger.
2. Ask if they do any cardio at all
or 3. Their general body fat % is just high… but along with that they have solid muscle underneath.
Unfortunately you cannot spot reduce. Your body loses fat all over the place.

When it comes to nutrition, guys don’t really want to eat salads and veggies. Cola, pasta, stakes, etc. are the best for them, LOL!
And this guy with a pretty big tummy… I know he doesn’t do cardio. And eats as crazy :). So that explains it.

dude you just spent 7 mins telling me that weightlifting builds muscle…thx? i knew evertything about how muscles burn calories, but im sure that will help other people who don’t know. but, when you said take time lowering the weight, i’ve been told that its the explosiveness that causes muscle gains and that taking too much time is unnecesary friction.

You’re not grinding your muscles against anything. Muscle gains, which is also known has “Hypertrophy” is is the total volume of work done at a MAINTAINED intensity of 70-80% of your max.
This means “explosive” movements will not cause you to to recruit the optimal muscle fibers that will trigger growth. You need a time element. You have to lower and do it slowly (over time) to trigger maximum mico tears.
