Am I right that you are saying that extra calories from one food source will result in more weight gain (or a smaller weight loss) than the same number of extra calories from another source? Or are you just saying that people would healthier on a non-cookie-based diet?

Yes wsebha, you are right. For instance, if you eat 300 calories of raw almonds VS. 300 calories of mayonnaise, chances are the almonds will contribute less to your weight gain. Why? With almonds for instance, it is believed that the fiber content blocks fat.

great little tidbit …
great little tidbit video here. It is my personal belief that you need good calories in you to actually activate your body’s “fat burning systems”. Without that “good” energy, you will just be storing fat.
