It is my understanding Iyengar yoga is one of the principle parts of the foundation or the inspiration of Anusara Yoga

I don’t even think …
I don’t even think there is a difference. Anusara just uses differnet language (spiral instead of rotation etc.). John Freind studied under Iyengar and I practice Iyengar and went to a few Anusara classes and to be honest I couldn’t tell what the main difference was besides certain language the Anusara people are supposed to use.
